Recipe of the Month

This month’s yummy treat was originally given to me by my cousin Dee. It’s the perfect pot-luck dessert, a decadent treat to take along to a dinner party, or that special something to make for your family just because.

It’s also simple and easy, which we all know I prefer.

So get out your paper and pencil….here’s another family favorite:

Sherry Cream Cake

1 small package Instant Vanilla Pudding

1 yellow cake mix

4 eggs

¾ cup oil (vegetable or canola)

¾ cup Sherry

1 round tsp. Nutmeg

  • Preheat oven to 350.

  • Mix all ingredients together.

  • Grease and flour Bundt pan.

  • Pour batter into pan and bake 45 minutes or until golden brown.

  • Cool slightly, then invert onto dish.

  • Dust top with powdered sugar when cool

Note: I have made this in a 13 x 9 and it works just fine too. Bake according to cake mix directions for a pan of that size.
