Recipe of the Month

Once again, my cousin Dee has shared another fantastic recipe with me. This one is great served with mashed potatoes or rice. It's easy too.
Basil Orange Pork Chops
4 pork chops (boneless or bone-in, whatever you prefer)
1 green onion, sliced (ok to substitute with ¼ white/yellow onion)
1 tbsp oil
1 cup orange juice
1 tbsp grated orange peel
2 tsp dried basil
2 tsp cornstarch
2 tsp water
Brown chops and onion in oil.
Add orange juice, orange peel and basil.
Cover and cook until juices run clear.
Remove chops and keep warm.
Combine cornstarch and water and then add that mixture to the skillet. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
Serve sauce over chops
NOTE: I like to add chops back into the pan and let them simmer for about 10 minutes in the sauce.
Enjoy!
