Recipe of the Month

You’ve been warned.

This recipe came to me a few years ago by a friend of a friend. I’ve made it numerous times and always end up sharing the recipe. It’s a perfect side dish for your holiday meal, or eaten on its own (which I have done…more times than I’m willing to admit).

I end this year of recipes with one of my favorites….

Those Potatoes

2 pounds frozen hash browns

½ cup melted butter

½ tsp pepper

1 tsp salt

½ cup chopped onion

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 cup Half & Half

2 cups grated cheddar cheese

1 cup sour cream

  • Thaw potatoes in a 9 x 13 pan (takes about 4 hours or so).

  • Preheat oven to 325.

  • Combine all ingredients and pour over potatoes. Bake for 45 minutes or until browned on top and bubbly (for my oven, it takes closer to an hour).
