Recipe of the Month

Here’s another yummy one given to me by my cousin Dee (she likes to bake and eat sweets just like I do). This is by far the best brownie recipe I’ve ever made and/or eaten. They are very rich, but addicting. You’ve been warned!

Frosted Fudge Brownies

1 cup + 3 tbsp. butter

¾ cup baking cocoa

4 eggs

2 cups sugar

1 ½ cups flour

1 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. vanilla

Frosting:

6 tbsp. butter, softened

2 2/3 cups powdered sugar

½ cup baking cocoa

1 tsp. vanilla

¼ - 1/3 cup milk

Preheat oven to 350.

Brownies: In saucepan, melt butter. Remove from heat. Stir in cocoa. Cool. In mixing bowl beat eggs and sugar. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually add to egg mixture. Stir in vanilla and cooled chocolate mix. Spread in greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 for 25-28 minutes. Cool completely.

Frosting: Cream together butter, powdered sugar, cocoa and vanilla. Add enough milk until frosting is spreadable. Spread onto cooled brownies.

Makes approximately 2 dozen

Many blessings to all of you during this holiday season!
